Special Little Things

I like to look for special things

Wherever I can find them.

I search for secret hiding spots—

And then I look behind them.

Wonders wait outside for us.

They’re everywhere around.

Some fly above us in the air,

Some wait upon the ground.

A ladybug,

A daffodil,

A puppy’s tail

That won’t stay still.

A butterfly,

A lightning bug,

A kitten lost

That needs a hug.

A sunset,

A sunrise,

A rainbow forming

In our eyes.

A very favorite

Special thing?

A feather from

An angel’s wing.
